Yemex originated from Rawan and Efrain's passion for coffee and cooking. Their backgrounds are in IT, but that doesn't stop them from crafting excellent meals. Yemeni and Mexican cuisines share many similarities, allowing for a unique fusion.

Our fusion of Yemeni and Mexican flavors is at the heart of everything we do. From savory halal pastries you can’t find anywhere else to playful sweets that surprise and comfort, we’ve built this brand alongside the community that believed in us since day one.

What began in our kitchen—late nights baking our halal pastries, experimenting with flavors, and sharing them with our community—has grown into something much bigger than us. Yemex Café was never just about coffee and pastries. It’s about culture, warmth, and creating a space where people feel at home.

Today, we’re proud (and a little nervous!) to share that we’ve signed the lease for our very first location in Houston. It feels surreal, but now comes the part where dreams turn into reality: remodeling the space, buying equipment, stocking our shelves, and preparing to welcome you through our doors.
